Polycentric water governance in agriculture in urban areas
This project has been set up to investigate how governance arrangements in food systems in the Accra Metropolitan Area is impacting food security in the metropolis. The project is being undertaken over a two year period (2018-2020). Food systems selected for this phase include Vegetables and cereals.
Water brokerage in rapidly urbanised cities
In Ghana, private actors currently play a major role in water provision with state institutions such as the Ghana Water company acting as both a production and provision agent. The project aims to understand the current framework of water brokerage and what lessons could be drawn for utility service provision in cities in Africa.
